How To Install DAVILANE MOLLE Watch Bands?
Built for durability with a tactical edge, it might need a few minutes to adjust the suitable wrist size after you receive it, but after the first setting, you are going to enjoy a fashion, tactical watch just by a slide-in. Follow these steps for a perfect fit.
Step 1: Remove the Original Watch Bands
- Place the watch face-down on a soft cloth.
- Remove the original strap using the screw drivers or a spring-bar tool.
Step 2: Fit the Adapters
2.1 Quickfit Straps:
- Install a pair of spring bars (diameter 1.8mm+) to your watch lugs
- Push the Quickfit adapter onto the spring bars.
2.2 Standards Quick release straps
- Align the DAVILANE MOLLE adapters with the lugs.
- Slide the quick-release pin inward, seat the bar, then release.
- Tug gently to confirm both sides are locked.
Step 3: Size on Wrist
- Feed the strap through the middle hole of the G buckle;
- adjust length to fit your usual wrist size.
- Slide the tail to the plastic buckle.
Step 4: Trim & Heat-Seal the Tail (Optional)
If the tail is longer than you prefer, you can shorten it and seal the edge for a clean, anti-fray finish.
- Mark the length while wearing the strap; leave enough tail to tuck securely.
- Remove the strap and cut the tail with sharp scissors (a slight diagonal cut threads easier).
- Heat-seal the cut edge using a lighter (fire lighter): pass the edge briefly through the flame (about 1–2 seconds) until it just softens—do not let it burn.
- Shape & smooth by lightly pressing the warm edge with a flat metal surface (e.g., the back of a spoon). Let it cool.
Safety tips: Work in a ventilated area, keep flame away from skin, fabric, and the watch head, and avoid prolonged heating. Adult use only.
Step 5: Secure & Personalize
- Fasten the buckle and keepers as normal.
